Interex Custom Joinery specialises in the manufacture and installation of large-scale, detailed joinery and high-end quality fit outs for both residential and commercial projects.
Interex was established in 2013 with the goal to provide excellence in joinery and cabinetry for custom-home builders, architects, building designers and high-end developers in the residential and multi-residential industries.
Originally from New Zealand, owner Gareth spent time in the US, UK and Italy working as a cabinet maker before returning to Australia to found Interex. The business originally operated from a factory in Wentworth Point, then in Melrose Park and now in their new factory in Kingsgrove.
What makes Interex unique is an intense focus on systems and processes which makes his factory one of the most streamlined spaces in Sydney. The company is passionate about the way the factory functions, what machinery is utilised, how to incorporate new technologies and how to systematically process jobs through the factory for a successful outcome.
Interex focusses on stepping each project through its process – from quotation to project management, to detailed drawings, through the factory and into production. This ensures customer satisfaction with the end result and guarantees the quality of the work produced is second to none.
Interex stays ahead of the industry through continual research into the latest technologies for the factory and has recently upgraded a range of machinery and technology to minimise labour and increase accuracy and speed, as well as provide new abilities to move into new sectors.
